Your audition.
Your choice.

You can rehearse and self-tape without sending your script, reader audio or video to Go Again or an AI service. Here’s how to use that path—and what changes when you choose online features.

Updated September 19, 2026.

Local takes stay local.

Go Again does not upload videos recorded in Local mode. The studio tries to keep one latest completed browser draft. Export a copy and check it in Files or Photos. Browser storage is limited and can be cleared.

Cloud is a choice.

Saving a scene or a cloud take puts that content in your private account library.

AI uses outside services.

AI conversion, AI voices, and browser dictation can send content beyond your device.

Keep your scene on your device

  1. Load your script. Open a text-based PDF or paste the text. Choose local reading; AI conversion is optional.
  2. Record your own reader. Read the other characters’ lines and tap Next line. Replay, trim or redo them on your device.
  3. Use tap cues. You decide when the reader speaks. No speech-recognition service is needed.
  4. Record locally, then export. Simple keeps your self-tape on this device. Export and check the file you want to keep; a browser draft is temporary.

No account is required to start this path. Existing free and membership limits still apply. Start in Simple →

When you export or share, your chosen destination determines where the file goes. For a device-only copy, choose local storage in Files; avoid a cloud drive or messaging destination.

What stays on your device

You can rehearse and film without uploading your script, reader recording or video to Go Again: read text/PDF files on this device, use your own recorded reader, choose tap or quiet-pause cues, and keep video storage Local. Optional pitch adjustments also run in the browser without AI or an upload.

This is a choice about your creative material, not a promise of zero internet traffic. Loading the website and checking your account still make network requests. Signed-in usage statistics and previously enabled shared-scene progress can send activity counts, without your script, audio or video. Online AI, account saves and sharing are separate choices described below.

Your working rehearsal script, personal reader recordings, line marks, and pitch adjustments stay in your browser or files you save unless you choose a feature that sends content elsewhere. Pitch adjustment itself runs on your device.

With Local recording, Go Again does not upload the self-tape video. The rehearsal studio tries to keep one latest completed take in browser storage without requiring sign-in. A new completed take replaces that browser draft. It is not a Files or Photos save. Storage can fill or be cleared, and abrupt termination during recording may lose an unfinished take. Export and check the file for a copy you control. Clearing browser storage can also remove device-only scenes, prepared audio, and personal reader recordings.

Reading a PDF with Read on this device processes that file locally. Choosing Local for a video does not make AI conversion, AI reader preparation, or browser dictation local.

When you save a scene

Plus and founding members can save script text, titles, cut notes, folders, and rehearsal settings in a private account library. This includes the original script text, even when your cut notes skip some lines. It does not save the original PDF or upload your personal reader recording and its marks.

The library holds 200 pages of text, counting each 3,000 characters as a page and rounding up per scene. Prepared ElevenLabs clips can be copied from your device to a saved scene; new AI audio prepared for a saved scene is stored privately with it. Saved AI audio is limited to 1 GB or 4,096 clips per account.

Opening a saved scene retrieves existing text and audio without generating new audio. Replaying saved clips does not use new AI generation allowance. Changing dialogue or voices may need new generation when you choose to prepare the reader.

Deleting a scene removes its stored script and cloud reader clips. Deleting a folder moves its scenes to Unfiled. After an ordinary downgrade, existing scenes remain available to open, export, or delete; saving changes requires an eligible membership. If your account is suspended, contact support for help accessing or removing your data.

When you choose cloud recording in Advanced

Cloud recording is optional for Plus and founding members. After a take finishes, Go Again uploads the video to private Cloudflare storage and records its title, duration, size, creation time, and account owner. The video can include your performance, your surroundings, and the reader soundtrack.

Your cloud library holds 15 minutes of saved takes total, with a maximum of 60 takes or 500 MB, plus an individual file-size limit. Keep the page open until saving is confirmed. Your videos require authenticated account access; Go Again does not create public viewing links.

You can replay, compare, download, or delete saved takes. Deleting a take removes its stored video and library record. Existing takes remain available to download or delete after an ordinary plan downgrade. Cloud saving does not separately upload your full rehearsal script or personal reader library.

When you choose AI or speech recognition

PDF conversion · OpenAI

Convert with AI sends your PDF to OpenAI to extract text. Go Again does not automatically save the PDF or converted script to your scene library. If you later choose Save scene, its text is saved there. We request responses without stored response history; that does not mean zero provider retention. OpenAI’s API data policies explain its processing and retention controls.

AI reader · ElevenLabs

Preparing an AI reader sends dialogue and your chosen voice to ElevenLabs. In the usual actor-and-reader mode, this is the other characters’ dialogue. Preparing full-scene listening can also send the lines of the character you play. Device voices and unchanged personal reader recordings do not use the ElevenLabs generation API. Its privacy policy describes provider handling.

AI voice changing · ElevenLabs

Choosing Convert this line sends the selected marked audio clip and target voice to ElevenLabs through Go Again. The full original reader recording is not uploaded by this feature. Use your own voice or get the speaker’s permission to transform it. This creates a converted audio clip using an approved voice; it does not create a voice clone.

Your original recording, marks, and converted clips can be saved in browser storage for reuse. Go Again also keeps a private server recovery copy of the converted clip, with account ownership, a recording fingerprint, voice choice, duration, request ID, and usage reservation. The fingerprint is used to recognize repeat requests; it is not the original audio. Completed recovery copies are eligible for cleanup after 24 hours and are removed during later conversion activity, so deletion may occur later. Request support if you need earlier server-copy deletion. These copies are separate from your cloud scene and take libraries.

Go Again forwards the selected input to the provider but does not save that input recording in its object storage. Provider retention follows ElevenLabs’ policy; this is not a zero-retention service. An interrupted conversion can leave an unconfirmed usage reservation until its outcome is resolved. Reusing a saved conversion does not make another provider call.

Last words · your browser’s speech service

Last words uses browser speech recognition. Depending on your browser, operating system, and settings, microphone audio may be processed by an outside speech service. Recognition can remain active while the reader speaks, so that audio can include reader playback picked up by your microphone. See, for example, Apple’s speech-recognition privacy information.

Pause after speech measures sound levels locally instead of using dictation. Tap to cue does not use dictation. Your camera or microphone can still be active for a recording you start.

Scene Mates

Scene Mates is for adults aged 18 or older. Joining requires your age declaration and agreement to the Scene Mates rules. This is self-attestation, not identity or age verification by Go Again. The age rule applies to Scene Mates, not to the standalone rehearsal tools.

Every Go Again account includes a Scene Mates profile, including existing accounts. New actors enter the name they go by when signing up. Actor search starts on, but your profile appears only after you confirm your age and the Scene Mates rules. You can turn off “Let actors find me” in Account or My profile anytime; existing mates and private shares stay with you.

We store your Scene Mates profile, availability, chosen reader rate, listing preferences, requests, session records, recording-consent updates, ratings, blocks, and reports. When your confirmed profile is listed, its name, bio, availability, rate, and rating summary are visible to other eligible signed-in Scene Mates members. Your account email is not displayed in the directory. Request messages and session details are available to the participants; reports are available to the administrator for follow-up.

Scene Mates lets you send an accepted mate a private, fixed copy of your saved script, cut notes, and rehearsal settings. If you include your original reader recording, Go Again stores the whole recording, including gaps and unmarked audio, with its line marks and file details. Pitch effects and AI voice changes are not included. Either participant can close a share. Removing a mate, blocking them, or deleting the original saved scene also closes shared access. Copies already opened or saved to a device cannot be recalled.

Practice sharing is off until you turn it on for a shared scene. When enabled, Go Again records estimated practice time, lines, completed runs, and practice days in UTC. Your mate can see your totals and streaks. These statistics contain no audio or transcripts and are not performance scores. Turning sharing off stops further counting and hides your progress from your mate; previous totals remain stored. Contact support about deletion.

Scene Mates calls connect two session participants. Camera and microphone audio are transmitted to your partner through encrypted WebRTC connections using Cloudflare’s relay service. Connection setup passes through Go Again; temporary connection records can include network details. Calls do not use AI transcription, AI voices, or AI analysis. We do not store a cloud recording of these calls.

Both participants must agree before the built-in recorder starts. A local self-tape contains the recording participant’s camera and both participants’ voices, with visible recording status. Withdrawing consent or losing the connection stops the built-in recording. Go Again cannot prevent external screen or audio recording, or erase copies saved by another participant.

Script text pasted into the private room stays in that tab and is not sent to your partner or an AI provider. Local videos are temporary until downloaded. Closing or refreshing the page can lose them. Connection signals are removed when a call is ended through Go Again, or become eligible for cleanup after expiry; abandoned records are cleaned during later call activity. Profile, booking, rating, and payment records remain until removed through the applicable account or support process.

Paid readers connect directly with Stripe for identity checks, bank details, payouts, refunds, and disputes. Go Again keeps connected-account and transaction references and payment status, not full card or bank details. Booking payments are separate from Go Again subscriptions and AI credits. See Scene Mates payments for your records.

Your account, billing, and referrals

Clerk handles email sign-in and login sessions. Email sign-in provides an account identifier and email. Matching email addresses alone do not merge accounts.

Go Again stores account details with membership status, usage counts, referral relationships, and billing records. Stripe handles payment information; Go Again does not collect your full card number. Your referrer sees qualifying referral totals and their own savings or AI credits, not your email, scripts, videos, or card details.

Cookies and browser storage support sign-in, saved preferences, working scripts, and cached audio. We count AI conversion pages, generated reader characters, and the duration and allowance units of voice changes. A keyed, hashed network identifier helps limit repeated AI requests. We do not intentionally put scripts or API keys into application logs. Hosting, authentication, and payment services also process operational records such as requests, sessions, and transactions.

To understand service costs and improve Go Again, we record per-account AI request metadata: provider and model, request reference, time, outcome, PDF token and page counts, generated-text character counts, converted-audio duration, and estimated cost. We do not include your script text or recordings in these analytics records. These records are separate from your allowance and referral-credit balance.

For signed-in rehearsal users, the app also reports a small activity update during visible, focused use with recent interaction or an active rehearsal or recording. It counts estimated active minutes and days, with repeated updates across tabs counted only once per minute. The update contains rehearsal/recording flags, not your key presses, scroll positions, script, camera, microphone audio, or browsing outside Go Again. Anonymous visits are not attributed to an account by this activity feature.

The verified owner can compare these records with account age, current storage, membership status and verified payment history, including refunds and tax adjustments. We retain operational analytics to understand trends and investigate costs; older activity that was never recorded is not reconstructed. You can ask about access, correction or deletion using the process below. Some billing evidence may need to be retained as explained there.

Support requests contain the information you choose to send, your account details when signed in, and information needed to investigate the issue. They are available to Go Again’s administrator for follow-up. Avoid sending private audition material unless it is needed and you have permission to share it.

Ordinary referral discounts are 10% per qualifying direct paying friend, up to 50% off. Founding members instead earn promotional AI credits from qualifying direct referrals. Payment verification, refunds, disputes, and expired paid periods can adjust these rewards. See referral terms.

Retention, deletion, and questions

Saved scenes and cloud takes do not currently have an automatic expiry date. You can remove individual items from their libraries. Download anything you want to keep first; a deleted item may not be recoverable.

Use Delete account to request account deletion, or contact support for access, correction, or privacy questions. Requests are reviewed and may require identity verification. Submitting a request does not instantly erase your data, close an authentication account, or cancel a subscription. We will confirm the steps taken and any follow-up needed.

Some billing, fraud-prevention, security, support, or request records may need to be kept to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Provider retention follows their applicable policies. Go Again cannot erase files you already downloaded or copies managed by your device’s own backup services.

We may update this policy as features or practices change. Material changes will be identified through an updated notice. Any privacy rights you have under applicable law continue to apply.

Contact support@goagain.now from the email on your account when possible. Do not include passwords, API keys, or full payment-card details.
