GO AGAIN · YOUR DATA

Your tapes.
Your voice.

Your choices determine where your sides, reader recordings and takes go. Here is what the app does, which services it uses, and how to remove your copies.

Checked September 27, 2026. All Go Again services are for adults aged 18 or older.

Keep your creative material on your device

Use Simple mode, read a text PDF locally or paste your sides, record your own reader, choose tap or quiet-pause cues, and record locally. Leave account backup off. Pitch adjustments also stay in your browser. Signing in and loading the website still make network requests.

Your browser can keep scripts, reader recordings, line marks and prepared audio, plus one latest completed take as a recovery draft. A new completed take replaces that draft. Browser storage can fill or be cleared; unfinished recordings may be lost. Export important work and check the file in Files or Photos.

Device voices depend on your browser and operating system. Some voices or browser dictation services may send text or microphone audio to their own speech provider. They are not all guaranteed to work offline.

When material leaves your device

Account backups and saved scenes

Advanced mode automatically backs up signed-in working scene text and settings. Simple mode requires your choice to enable account backup. When backup is active, choosing Use this reader also uploads its recording, marks, pitch settings and selected converted clips to Cloudflare storage. These backups do not include the original PDF or your self-tape.

Saving a scene separately stores its text and settings in your account library. Prepared AI reader clips can be stored with it. Saved scenes, temporary backups and browser copies are separate.

AI PDF conversion

Choosing Convert with AI sends the PDF through Go Again to OpenAI. Reading a text PDF on your device does not. Go Again asks OpenAI not to save the conversion as stored response history. This does not turn off all provider retention.

AI reader

Preparing new reader audio sends dialogue and your voice choice to ElevenLabs. Normally this is the other characters’ dialogue; full-scene listening can include your part. Replaying an existing prepared clip does not generate it again.

Voice changing

Choosing Convert this line sends the selected marked excerpt to ElevenLabs through Go Again. This conversion sends the excerpt, rather than the whole original recording. Go Again keeps a recovery copy of the converted output and request details. Account reader backups can separately upload the original recording.

Listening for your cue

Smart Reader during self-tapes and the recorded-reader setting After I say my line send microphone audio to OpenAI for live transcription. Go Again matches the returned words on your device, mutes that stream during reader playback, and ends the connection when listening stops. Nearby sounds may still be captured. The app does not save that live audio or transcript, but keeps session and usage records.

Smart Reader in Run lines and Last words use browser speech recognition, which may use your browser’s outside speech service. That recognition can remain active during reader playback and capture it too. Tap cues and quiet-pause detection avoid speech transcription. A Local video can stay local while a separately enabled listening feature sends microphone audio elsewhere.

Cloud takes

Choosing cloud recording uploads the finished video to private Cloudflare storage, with your account ownership, title, duration, size and creation time.

Community calls

Your camera and microphone reach your partner through Cloudflare’s call relay. Calls do not use AI transcription. The built-in recorder requires both participants’ agreement and creates a local take. Go Again does not store a cloud recording of the call. Connection, session and recording-consent records are stored separately.

Sharing a scene with Scene Mates

Sharing sends the script, cut notes and settings to the people you share with. If you include your original reader, it uploads and shares the whole original recording, including gaps and unmarked audio. Closing the share removes access through Go Again but cannot recall downloaded copies.

The outside services we use

  • OpenAI: AI PDF conversion and live microphone transcription.
  • ElevenLabs: generated AI reader dialogue and voice-changing excerpts.
  • Cloudflare: hosting, account database, stored scenes/audio/video and community call relay.
  • Clerk: sign-in and account sessions.
  • Stripe: subscriptions and reader payments.
  • Your browser or operating system’s speech service: some device voices and browser dictation. The provider varies with your device and settings.

Is anything used to train AI?

Go Again does not use actors’ scripts, voices or tapes to train models or separately send them to others for that purpose.

On September 27, 2026, we turned off OpenAI’s feedback, evaluation/fine-tuning and API input/output sharing, and ElevenLabs’ model-improvement sharing, in the accounts used by Go Again. Both providers’ saved settings were checked after reloading.

Those provider choices were previously enabled. The opt-outs cover future sharing; they do not tell us whether previously sent material was used in training or undo any past training. This is not a promise that your material has never been used for training.

These opt-outs do not control your browser or operating system’s separate speech service. Training choices and retention are separate. OpenAI’s project still uses Standard Retention. Go Again does not use ElevenLabs’ Zero Retention Mode. See OpenAI’s data controls and ElevenLabs’ training opt-out explanation.

How long copies stay, and how to delete them

  • Browser copies: stay until replaced, removed or cleared. Export anything wanted, then clear Go Again’s site data in that browser to remove its local scripts, audio and latest take draft.
  • Temporary account backups: expire after 30 days without a successful renewal. Delete one in My scenes; first open another scene if you are deleting the active backup.
  • Saved scenes and cloud takes: have no automatic expiry. Use Delete in My scenes or Delete permanently in Your takes. Remove any separate temporary backup or browser copy too.
  • Voice-change recovery audio: becomes eligible for cleanup after 24 hours. Ask Support if you need earlier removal. The request’s status and usage details can remain.
  • Community connection signals: are removed when the call ends; abandoned signals are cleaned during later call activity. Session and consent records remain. Go Again cannot recall a copy another participant saved.
  • Downloaded or exported files: delete them through their saved destination, such as Files, Photos or a cloud drive. App deletion cannot remove those files or your device’s own backups.

Expired backups and voice-change recovery audio are cleaned during later app activity. Physical removal can happen later than the expiry time.

OpenAI’s standard abuse-monitoring logs can retain content for up to 30 days, with exceptions described in its policy. ElevenLabs keeps generation history when Zero Retention Mode is not used; deleting a generation does not immediately erase all debugging, moderation or backup copies. Its documentation says deleted database items can remain in backups for up to 30 days. Read ElevenLabs’ retention explanation.

Hosting retention still being checked: we have not yet confirmed our hosting service’s request-log and backup retention periods or the deletion schedule for those copies. We cannot currently give you a guaranteed deadline for them. We will update this page when confirmed.

Usage records and help with your data

Usage records contain identifiers, times, counts and costs, rather than your script or recording. Successful or rejected AI operational records become eligible for cleanup after 90 days; unresolved requests and allowance records follow separate rules. Optional Smart Reader matching details show your current line and recognized words in your browser’s developer console. Support messages contain whatever you choose to submit.

Only after activity permission, Go Again counts website/demo steps and account milestones. These counts contain no script, role, voice or take. Homepage and demo counts have no account or persistent visitor identifier. Account milestones use your account ID. Event rows become eligible for cleanup after 90 days during later collection; small first-milestone and subscription-level markers remain until removed through account deletion or a support data request. Declining optional statistics keeps the no-account demo local after it loads.

Request your data or request account deletion. These start an owner review, not an instant export, erasure or billing cancellation. We will explain what was removed and any records retained. For provider-held copies, contact us so we can review the request with the provider.
